Mobile TeleSystems control a status of thousands of units of transport in the Bryansk region

The Mobile TeleSystems company (MTS) announced on December 19, 2012 project completion of remote monitoring of transport on the basis of M2M (machine-to-machine) of solutions in the Bryansk region.

Tasks

"Today mobile communication stopped being only the communication medium between people. Using communication channels machines and devices exchange data. We observe rapid growth of interest in so-called M2M-services in the most different spheres — from security before public services. It is extremely important for us that projects with use of telematic services of MTS allow not only to optimize business processes of the enterprises, but also more comfortable and safer to do everyday life of people. So, as a result of implementation of M2M-monitoring in the system of passenger transport of the Bryansk region the regularity of its movement increases to 90%" — the director of the branch of MTS in the Bryansk region Sergey Rubtsov noted.

In 2012 MTS implemented the new project on the basis of M2M-technologies within which M2M-services are used for remote monitoring of the movement of agricultural machinery. On the basis of data of a monitoring system control of work of crews, in particular, of accomplishment of the plan, target use of the working equipment and fuels and lubricants and also automatic calculation of the area of the earth processed by special equipment is exercised. More than 1000 SIM cards are involved in the project.

In total about three thousand SIM cards of provider are used for the automated monitoring of location of public and commercial passenger transport and also agricultural machinery of the region.
