The Russian division of the German retailer of electronics, Media-Saturn, MediaMarkt implemented two modules Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012. MediaMarkt business processes manager Alexander Kuznetsov told about it on December 12, 2012 at the forum Microsoft Dynamics "New Hera Upravleniya".

According to Kuznetsov, modules of synchronization of purchases and goods acceptance and also automation of robotic process of the order of goods are implemented. For support of online store the decision on implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 for control of build processes and shipment of goods was made.

Prerequisites of the Project

According to Kuznetsov, the existing ERP is own development of the German head company and is broadcast to all countries of presence. "However we had some business processes which it could not cover", - Kuznetsov told TAdviser. - We did not begin to address our German colleagues because it should wait for the answer long and there was no confidence that they will help us".

Therefore the decision on the choice and implementation of other ERP system was made. "Integration with a view to further scaling of functionality of a product", - Kuznetsov completed.

Project Progress

"Implementation of modules lasted on one month, then about a month more of test operation", - Alexander Kuznetsov tells. - The first implementation began in October, 2012, the second - one month later. Now the system of sorting is ready to commercial operation, and a robotic system will be put into operation since new year".

"The project was performed in quite short terms therefore also resources was selected for its implementation quite a lot", - the head of practice of Microsoft Dynamics AX of NaviCon company Vlad Knyazev explained TAdviser. - All worked on the project our 6-7 employees".

"The choice fell on Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 because the basic functionality allowed to close all available problems and the potential of further system deployment on other business processes", - Alexander Kuznetsov told TAdviser. - The interface of the solution is very similar about the interface of the Windows operating system therefore also our employees quickly enough accustomed to the new program that also allowed to accelerate process of implementation and start".

Results

Integration of a new product allowed the retailer to reduce significantly time expenditure by order processing and other routine handwork due to optimization of logistics.

"We differently began to build our vendor relations that also cut down our expenses on purchases", - Kuznetsov continued.

He told TAdviser that approximate economy of the company on purchases with a new system makes about 10 million rubles. "If to take purchase prices in Moscow, let us assume, and those prices which we as a result received then the difference is enormous", - he told.

Objectives

The Russian division as TAdviser Kuznetsov was recognized, plans after final start in commercial operation to show the received results of the head company. "We think that it would be interesting to it to look at our experience", - he concluded.

Also in plans further integration of the modules Dynamics AX 2012. However in the company do not tell about more detailed plans yet.
