2020: 7 billion rubles will direct to reconstruction of the airport of Blagoveshchensk

7 billion rubles will direct to reconstruction of the airport of Blagoveshchensk, the official site of the Amur region reports in September, 2020.

ABS LLC, the UK "Airports of Regions" and "Novaport holding" joint venture, became the winner of competition on reconstruction and management of the international airport of Blagoveshchensk within concession.

Competition was announced in December, 2019. The business projects on upgrade of the airport Blagoveshchensk were submitted on September 2, 2020 by three potential investors: ABS LLC, Far East Concession Company LLC and Krasinvest LLC. The tender committee within 15 working days carried out an inspection of documents of participants. Within tender the ABS company suggested to invest not less than 7 billion rubles in subjects of the concessionary agreement.

The winner of competition was defined by comparison of the final points appropriated to each participant of tender based on consideration and assessment of the provided competitive offers. Comparison was performed by ranging of final points.

The project of upgrade of the main airport of the Amur region has strategic character for the region. The new airport will become the central element of transport infrastructure which is necessary for development of economy and tourism of area.

On concession conditions the investor will construct the new international terminal and also a cargo complex, will carry out reconstruction of the station square with expansion of a parking zone, upgrades the operating terminal of internal airlines. At the same time the airport remains in regional property and after the end of concession returns to use of the region.
