The operator of SMARTS changes the system of billing and completes migration of subscribers

On the night of 2013 the Volga region GSM operator of SMARTS made replacement of the billing solution by the Eastwind Billing System system, the press service of EastWind integrator reported on January 23, 2013.

At the end of 2012 in JSC SMARTS made the decision on failure from a former settlement system and transfer of all branches of the company on billing from other vendor. As new ASR the operator of SMARTS selected an Eastwind brand product - Eastwind Billing System.

Solution

Implementing the project specialists of Eastwind paid special attention to specifics and operating conditions of the Volga region cellular company. The replacement of billing, a rod component of operator infrastructure which is made on the operating network is by default the responsible task requiring high professionalism and clearness. In addition, in case of SMARTS it was necessary to make transition to new billing to deadlines and to a peak load period – New Year's holidays and vacation which traditionally are followed by high activity of subscribers.

The main complex of works on implementation and integration of Eastwind Billing System and to transfer of clients of SMARTS to a new settlement system took three weeks, at the same time migration of subscribers on billing of Eastwind happened during a New Year's Eve.
