The Oracle corporation announced new service Oracle Infrastructure as a Service (Oracle IaaS) with a possibility of providing computing power upon the demand of Capacity on Demand, expanding a comprehensive and flexible portfolio of cloud solutions.

Oracle IaaS gives to the organizations the chance to develop completely integrated optimized hardware and software systems of Oracle, including Oracle Exadata Database Machine, Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud, Oracle SPARC SuperCluster, Oracle Exalytics In-Memory Machine and Oracle Sun ZFS Storage Appliance, in the data processing centers behind corporate internetwork protective screens — with payment according to the simple scheme on a monthly basis.

Oracle IaaS is offered as attractive option of acquisition of the optimized hardware and software systems of Oracle in terms of use of money, accounting and placement of assets.

The private cloud infrastructure placed directly at the enterprise gives to the organizations the chance to completely see and control the IT environment that allows to provide observance of internal regulations, statutory requirements and security policies.

Oracle IaaS offers flexible function of providing computing power on demand — Capacity on Demand. The customer can use not all processors of a hardware and software system, but at peak load to activate additional processors, and then to switch-off them again. At the same time payment of use of additional processors will be made only for that time when they were activated.

For achievement of maximum capacity, reliability and security the Oracle IaaS service allows to use not only a hardware component of Oracle Engineered Systems, but also industry-leading technical support services, including Oracle Premier Support for Systems. Besides, for the Exadata, Exalogic and SPARC SuperCluster complexes the program of support Oracle Platinum Services and a new packet of Oracle PlatinumPlus Services — only for customers of Oracle IaaS are offered.

Within Oracle PlatinumPlus Services experts of Oracle perform the quarterly pro-active analysis of infrastructure and consulting support for identification of the problems connected with performance and reliability of systems and also observance of regulatory requirements to their security. On the basis of the analysis recommendations about the solution of the revealed problems are provided.

Customers can or independently administer and support the hardware and software system set at them, or use remote administration by specialists of Oracle within Oracle Managed Cloud Services for complete management of a cloud environment and application services.
