At the beginning of 2013 the NetIQ company announced completion of certification of the flagship product on Event management and Incidents of Information Security (Security Event and Incident Managemen, SIEM) Sentinel of version 7.0.1 on compliance to requirements of the 3rd trust level of the international standard "General Criterions of Assessment of Information Technology Security". This certification shows intention of NetIQ company to continue improvement of the products in information security field and to propose to customers solutions which meet the highest requirements of business and the state organizations in this area.
Compliance to requirements of the standard of the International Organization of the Standards "General Criterions of Assessment of Information Technology Security" of security (ISO/IEC of 15408 Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation) in many countries is the compulsory provision when choosing the commercial software by the state organizations and large corporations. The organizations which selected SEIM solutions of NetIQ company can confirm compliance of NetIQ Sentinel of version 7.0.1 to requirements of the EAL 3 level + (Evaluation Assurance Level 3: Methodically Tested and Checked) this standard.

All necessary tests were carried out in test laboratory of the Canadian company Electronic Warfare Associates Ltd (EWA Canada) accredited by Council for Standards of Canada (Standards Council of Canada SCC) and Department of Security in the field of Communications of Canada (Communications Security Establishment of Canada, CSEC).
