FNKTs FMBA of Russia integrates the system of a video conferencing more than 150 branches

The federal scientific clinical center of specialized types of medical care and medical technologies of Federal Medical Biological Agency uses the server of video conferences TrueConf Server for broadcast of transactions in real time, the developer company reported on January 30, 2013.

Reality

The center selected the program server of video conferences TrueConf Server for consolidation of 150 medical and polyclinic institutions subordinated to Federal State Budgetary Institution FNKTs FMBA of Russia. The solution provides support of carrying out video conferences, the presentations, reports and reviews of scientific and clinical cases and also broadcast of the data obtained directly from the medical equipment connected to a LAN. Now a system is also used for broadcast of transactions in real time for students of departments in Federal State Budgetary Institution FNKTs FMBA of Russia.

According to the staff of the center, at the same time listeners from different regions of Russia, the neighboring countries participate in conferences, as a rule, till 25-30. The TrueConf system at the moment completely meets all necessary requirements. Its implementation is in the future planned for all computers of the center for ensuring communication or carrying out remote consultations of doctors of different departments in hospital.

"At information and technology upgrade of Federal State Budgetary Institution FNKTs FMBA of Russia it was necessary to consider specifics of domestic communication channels and an opportunity for work of a server part of a system, including on rather weak equipment, - Mikhail Gotalsky, the company executive of TrueConf emphasized. - All equipment (hardware and program) is located in center premises. Therefore, when implementing the project the important role was played by an opportunity to unroll VKS network of the enterprise in the closed local network of the customer, without the need for connection to the Internet".
