The decision on implementation of a BI system was caused by existence of huge data array about sales, the wide range of goods and brands. All these data needed to be processed and analyzed for optimization of a system of sales in the company, receiving an operational picture of the events on different filial points.

Developing business in highly competitive market, with systemically the increasing quality standard and service, "Distribushn Sistem Drink" selected a vector on gain of the competitive advantages.

Within the choice of the solution BI specialists of the company studied a set of solutions on a business intelligence. Final factors which characterized clear advantage of the product QlikView of steel: simplicity and incomparable speed of implementation, existence of associative search and technology of processing and storage of all data set in RAM, lack of need for additional storage and use of an OLAP cubes.

Unconditional plus of a system is the possibility of fast and high-quality creation of the multiple plan-fact analysis of key performance indicators based on diverse data sources, including also the sources created manually. The company BI integrator of a system from Distribushn Sistem Drink company selected RBC Group company.

Direct implementation of the QlikView BI system and training of employees "Distribushn Sistem Drink" to development tools and QlikView administrations became the next step. Then development and deployment of the analytical application according to the analysis of sales followed. Implementation of this stage allowed to structure and consolidate data on primary and secondary sales in the uniform analytical application. The Analysis of Sales application intended for providing heads and specialists of the company with simple and convenient instruments of data analysis in planning and the actual sales in all possible cuts.

The developed model of the application provides dynamic and multiple data analysis in the following directions:

  • Analysis of profitability and marginality;
  • Analysis of seasonality;
  • Analysis of optimality of a covering of outlets deliveries of goods and activity of sales;
  • The geoanalysis and modeling using Google maps of maps;
  • Analysis of a basket of sales;
  • ABC-XYZ analysis;
  • Component analysis of extent of influence on the received profitability of different basic indicators;
  • The plan-fact analysis of accomplishment of key indicators of sales on regions, commands;
  • Contrastive analysis of measure values of efficiency of sales at the same time on different analytical cuts with a possibility of creation of a trend of values;
  • Modeling of scenarios of sales.

The dynamism and diversity of the analysis is provided with existence in a data model of a full range of the following a component:

  • cuts of the generated information;
  • the nomenclature of key performance indicators with a possibility of autonomous setup of their algorithms of calculation;
  • temporary factors of the analysis: day, week, month, quarter, half-year, year.

The QlikView platform allows to implement dynamic, multiple and transparent binding of the calculated data specified a component with the subsequent visualization through tabular and graphic objects.
