The personalized Russian discount service "Шопоголик.ру" transferred the infrastructure to a cloud service of Microsoft Office 365, the press service of Microsoft company reported on January 31, 2013. Cloud transition was organized and carried out by TI Systems company.
Background
Specialists of the Шопоголик.ру project work far off from the different cities, at the same time along with business development the number of users constantly grows.
The company the solution which would allow employees to remain irrespective of location in a uniform information field and to contact to colleagues was required. Besides, the company management was going to adjust the system of the joint communications available on all devices of users (computers, mobile phones, tablets).
For the solution of these tasks, prior to the beginning of the project, several diverse solutions were used, however the company saw need for standardization of infrastructure and providing to employees an opportunity to work with all corporate resources from the uniform account. As a result the decision on transition to a cloud of Microsoft is made. In "Шопоголик.ру" specialists of TI Systems company were engaged in implementation of Office 365.
Solution
"Implementation of all opportunities of Office 365 for 300 geographically distributed employees of the company took two weeks, – Denis Fokin, the CEO noted TI Systems. – We helped them to configure the domain @shopogoliq.ru and to transfer all mailboxes of employees "Шопоголик.ру" from Google Apps to Exchange Online. Employees at once estimated convenience of work with mail from mobile devices, the built-in opportunities of time-management and large volume of a mailbox. We also helped "Шопоголик.ру" to configure a corporate portal based on SharePoint Online. Thanks to it employees had an opportunity to create shared folders and sections on the portal, to obtain up-to-date information about projects and suppliers and also online access to important documents for joint work over them with colleagues".
Use of a cloud of Microsoft allowed the company to minimize expenses in comparison with traditional infrastructure and to simplify its administration. The company also highly appreciated possibilities of Lync Online – the tool for instant messaging and web conferences. With its help employees of "Шопоголик.ру" resolve the current issues, hold meetings and exchange data practically from any device with Internet connection.
