R-Style: Dynamic rotor uninterruptible power supply unit (DIBP)

Domestic DPCs reach the new level of energy efficiency: within construction of large data center for the first time in Russia the dynamic rotor uninterruptible power supply unit (DIBP) by power more than in 2000 megavolts-amperes is put at the beginning of 2013 into operation.

A system is implemented in the innovation 7 MW DPC constructed in Moscow by R-Style integrator. Input of DPC in operation will take place in the spring of this year, then project details will be disclosed.

The R-Style integrator one of the first in Russia began to be engaged in development and deployment of the systems of the guaranteed and regular power supply using DIBP and more than 2 years works in this sphere.

The large-scale project on construction of energy efficient DPC in city boundaries is unique use of the innovation and eco-friendly equipment at design of an object, features of configuration of a general architecture and also the maximum concentration of the innovative technologies implemented by integrator for compliance to individual requirements of the customer.

The system of the uninterrupted and guaranteed power supply of DPC is constructed based on dynamic rotor power sources (DIBP). The conditioning system and cold supply is implemented using chillers with function of freecooling and line heat exchangers on cooled water. Thanks to features of configuration, DPC provides placement of server and telecommunication equipment of different energy consumption, appointment and a format. The used technologies guarantee high fault tolerance and power consumption on a rack in 15 kW.

DIBP with power more than 2000 MVA allowed to reduce the area of placement of machines and to simplify the system of power supply that reduced quantity of points of failure and considerably increased fault tolerance of DPC in general. DIBP allow to optimize ownership cost in the long-term operational period.
