DPC of RadiusGroup (Alabushevo)

The IBM corporation and RadiusGroup company announced in February, 2013 the beginning of project implementation on complex audit of engineering infrastructure of a data processing center of RadiusGroup in Alabushevo. Preparation of data center for the international certification, providing recommendations about further complex development of engineering infrastructure of DPC and determination of compliance of DPC under construction of RadiusGroup of internal classification of IBM will become a project deliverable.

The innovative development of business and public services in Russia directly depends on growth rates of the IT industry and emergence of new technological capabilities. Among them – creation of eco-friendly data processing centers which are capable to provide to business of power, necessary for dynamic development at the minimum investments into IT infrastructure. With respect thereto RadiusGroup made the decision on construction of network of new hyper-DPCs, the DPC in the Alabushevo special economic zone became first of which. A critical factor at design and construction of DPCs is compliance to international quality standards which will become guarantee of reliable and successful providing IT services. To guarantee observance of international standards, the management of RadiusGroup made the decision on signing of the contract on carrying out complex audit of a data processing center which will be executed by forces of service division of IBM company.

The service division of IBM has unique examination in the field of audit of IT and engineering infrastructure of data processing centers. Within the implemented RadiusGroup project will receive the detailed analysis of technical and technological solutions of DPC under construction in terms of indicators of reliability, efficiency and energy saving. IBM will also provide recommendations for use of best practices of corporation in the field of construction of data processing centers and their applicability within solutions of DPC of RadiusGroup.

2014: IBM completed complex audit of infrastructure of DPC of RadiusGroup

On May 19, 2014 the IBM corporation and RadiusGroup company announced project completion on complex audit of engineering infrastructure of a data processing center of RadiusGroup in Alabushevo.

Within audit the assessment of the project documentation of RadiusGroup regarding compliance of data center to the best world practices of creation of engineering infrastructure of DPC was carried out and also it was set to what level of reliability on classification of IBM (IBM Reliability Level) there corresponds this project.

After the end of audit specialists of IBM company prepared recommendations about adjustment of project solutions and about improvement of reliability of the engineering systems of DPC of RadiusGroup. Special attention was paid to the key systems of ensuring smooth operation of DPC – electric power supply systems, conditioning and ventilation. Recommendations also concerned an architectural and construction part of the project and the place of direct placement of DPC. Accomplishment of these recommendations will allow to avoid possible difficulties at stages of construction of DPC and its subsequent operation.

Implementation of this project took four months. Further the RadiusGroup company assumes to involve experts of IBM as consultants who will be able to carry out the operational assessment of project solutions, in case of making changes at stages of construction and operation of DPC.
