Since March, 2013 the Russian educational institutions will be able to use in educational process the last generation of MimioPad™ tablets, the only thing MimioMobile™ iPad-application, a new interactive projector of MimioProjector™ and also the powerful MimioStudio™10 updated software. The developments available even to schools with budget restrictions, will make multimedia lessons even more productively.
The debut of touch technologies took place all a few years ago, but already today they actively are implemented practically into all fields of activity including in education. The developer of family of interactive technologies of training MimioClassroom™ Mimio company issues at once several solutions which are designed to increase quality of education at school, having made educational process more convenient both for the pupil, and for the teacher. The packet of the last developments of Mimio includes two devices – the easy wireless MimioPad tablet weighing less than 1.3 kg and a new interactive projector of MimioProjector and also two software solutions – the application for iPad MimioMobile and MimioStudio10 updated software providing convenient integration of all products of the MimioClassroom family with each other.
New developments meet requirements of any class, thanks to special opportunities among which there is a remote control of an interactive board at distance, simultaneous operation on tablets of group of pupils with the image on a board and also capability of products and software solutions of Mimio to function both separately, and together, being easily combined with devices of other producers.
The "think-tank" connecting all products MimioClassroom is the latest version of software of MimioStudio10 available on Windows platforms, Mac and Linux and allowing users to import directly different data in such types of files as Word, Power Point, Adobe, SMART and Promethean that gives the chance to use interactive lessons of any producers. The new feature of cooperation in MimioStudio10 automatically distributes tablets of pupils on windows (no more than 9 devices on each window) during the work on an interactive board that allows to organize simultaneous operation of several groups of pupils and at the same time each of them to use the separate window. The work performed by school students remains for future reference or viewing and can be exported in any convenient format (HTML, PDF, IWB and graphic formats).
"Researches show that when pupils participate in coeducation, active exchange of the ideas stimulates their critical thinking and allows them to remember better information and also brings their skills of team work to new level", – Mannie Perez, the CEO of Mimio notes.
Besides, based on the updated software of MimioStudio10 the only thing works at the market of interactive educational technologies the application for iPad MimioMobile. It allows to connect to one computer or the notebook for work on an interactive board up to 50 touch devices – both MimioPad tablets, and iPad or iPad mini. Thanks to MimioMobile, for the first time became possible to integrate in one work at once several tablets of different producers.
To provide communication of all tablets with the tasks which are displayed on the classroom screen there is no need to purchase a set of licenses – enough to install the MimioMobile application only on the computer or the teacher's notebook. Interaction between the equipment of the teacher and devices of pupils happens through connection of tablets to school Wi-Fi of network. The MimioMobile application can be also used for conducting testings when training pupils for a Unified State Examination or SFE.
Ample opportunities of multimedia lessons are opened also by the wireless MimioPad tablet – the next generation of the original tablet of Mimio company. The new version with strong and elegant design differs in advanced functionality and ease of use. The device allows the teacher and pupils to manage an interactive board from any point of a class at distance up to 9 meters, without rising from the place. It helps children with limited opportunities to take active part in a lesson that does a system irreplaceable at specialized schools. Thanks to a remote system the teacher can pay more attention to certain pupils, moving on a class and not interrupting at the same time work on an interactive board.
