The LANIT company completed the project of deployment of a hproyekta of VKS (video conferencing)|the telemedicine center]] for MNIOI of P.A. Herzen, having taken the equipment of Cisco company as a basis, the press service of the company reported on February 18, 2013.

Increase in number of professional consultations and the training lectures and also increase in intensity of acceptance of patients became relevant for institute. The tasks designated in the course of work of MNIOI are solved by the organization of the telemedicine center equipped with the latest telecommunication equipment for joint work.

This project became sign for development of medicine in Russia. In particular, the telemedicine center allowed MNIOI to expand of P.A. Herzen possibilities of assistance within implementation of the subprogramme Oncology included in the federal target program "Warning and Fight against Socially Important Diseases".

Equipment selection of Cisco is caused by reliability of solutions of vendor and also the fact that most the telemedicine centers of Russia and the world work based on telecommunication systems of Cisco that gives MNIOI of P.A. Herzen an opportunity quickly to contact any of them and considerably simplifies the organization of interaction between organizations.

The project of deployment and installation is implemented by LANIT company.

Solution

Within the project two halls for carrying out video conferences, training of specialists, the emergency and planned meetings, teleconsultations and also two operating rooms and remote clinic are equipped. On platforms the network and switching equipment of Cisco of the MXP series is installed. Cisco integrated based on hardware-software complexes, these five points form the modern telemedicine center in virtual space.

Today in the telemedicine center of institute meetings with participation of representatives of the Russian Ministry of Health will be organized and training courses for profile organizations of the country are conducted.
