NIAEP Atomenergoproekt implements a system of accounting of the work documentation

"The St. Petersburg research and design institute "ATOMENERGOPROEKT" (SPBAEP) completed an implementation project of a system of accounting of the work documentation based on the Microsoft SQL Server, the press service of institute reported on February 18, 2013. Integration was carried out by IT specialists of scientific research institute.

Background

Traditional field of activity SPBAEP - release of the project documentation for the under construction and operating objects of power industry of Russia and foreign countries. In a year the institute produces about 3 thousand documents only on one project of construction of the NPP, without changes.

"Feature of a cycle of preparation of the work documentation in such industry as nuclear power, is that any change which is made to the document should be documentary recorded and approved. Every day our institute operates with huge information volumes. In these conditions crucial is an ensuring transparency of all lifecycle of documents and creation of some kind of "center of the truth" in which the most up-to-date information on all projects and the history of the made changes would be stored. The system of accounting of the work documentation based on the Microsoft SQL Server helped us effectively and to quickly solve this problem. Now we can control all stages of preparation and approval of documents, to carry out the analysis of the performed works and to timely make decisions on change of diagrams of providing documentation if it is required. But the most important – our application allowed us to eliminate earlier arising discrepancies in document revisions and volumes of the prepared documentation. It, undoubtedly, brings quality of work to essentially new level", - Mikhail Muromsky, the head of department of design automation of DPIT JSC SPBAEP noted.
