Zoomby.ru moves IT infrastructure to the new technology platform

Company 2BService performed transfer of IT infrastructure of the Zoomby.ru video portal on the new technology platform, the press service reported on February 18, 2013.

The decision on movement of IT infrastructure is dictated by growth of amounts of data of the portal requiring increase in capacities and areas for placement of the IT equipment, need of optimization of operating costs and improvements of operation of the equipment.

Reality

All works, including dismantling of the equipment, transportation, connection and a commissioning of the server hardware (disk arrays, servers, a blade centers) are carried out without interruption in providing services to clients of Zoomby.

"We were faced by the interesting challenge requiring accomplishment of all logistic actions accurately, strictly according to the diagram and taking into account a huge number of requirements to an IT infrastructure status. All equipment was insured, and was transported by special transport that provided its maximum protection against any external influences which could entail data loss and operability of services. Specialists of 2BService professionally performed work, having provided functionality of all IT services of the portal in full. And Zoomby IT infrastructure transportation in new DPC will allow the portal to increase timely power and to considerably save means", - Roman Fedotov, the technical director 2Bservice told.
