Gas-Service implements the large-scale project of upgrade of IT infrastructure

The ANT-Inform company completed the project of complex upgrade of IT infrastructure of JSC Gas-Service, the press service of the company reported on February 21, 2013. A technology platform - infrastructure packets of vBlock and management of communications - Cisco Unified Communications Manager.

Solution

The project is implemented in three stages. At the beginning the detail design of updating of IT infrastructure is prepared.

Within the second stage the computer system (vBlock) is implemented, the segment of a corporate data network is constructed (IP VPN) without reservation, the corporate network is organized IP telephony, the information security system is installed (the joint solution Cisco and S-Terra).

Are implemented by the third stage in telecommunication infrastructure:

• segment of reservation of IP VPN,
• system of protection against spam and malicious code of Ironport,
• system of a video conferencing,
• system of virtual desktops (Cisco VXI).

Details

Two vBlock computer systems allow to deploy up to 600 virtual servers of VMware that completely provides both the current, and perspective needs of the customer for computing powers.

The system of virtual desktops Cisco VXI due to address configuring and providing resources to the staff of Gas-Service allows to increase efficiency of jobs of users and leads to significant savings on the computer park.

The IP-telefonii network gives significant cost reduction on voice traffic, and due to integration with the VKS system allows to organize video conferences between employees of remote offices in a format of high definition with effect of presence.

Possibilities of the solution Cisco on the IP telephony and VKS allowed Gas-Service to refuse practice of holding attendance meetings when the staff of 21 branches of the company was forced to come to the central office for 300 km. and more.

The project became one of the first large-scale implementations in Russia of the innovative solutions of Cisco. The updated IT infrastructure of JSC Gas-Service successfully passed test and is put to the customer into production operation.
