Need of upgrade of DWH for International bank of Azerbaijan caused implementing solution from IBM

International bank of Azerbaijan completed the project of upgrade of IT infrastructure by means of the solution IBM Storwize V7000 and participation of Business-communication integrator, the company integrator at a forum of IBM "Modern perspectives of conversion and development" reported on February 25, 2013.

Objectives

Continuous growth of the customer base as a result - the number of accounts and transactions, led to growth of load of the automated banking system. For performance improvement of the key business application the IT department of bank made the decision on upgrade of infrastructure of storage. Having considered different offers in the market, including systems HP, EMC and IBM, the IT department of the company made the decision on transition to the IBM Storwize V7000 system.

"In implementation of this project we aimed to guarantee high quality of customer service which depends on trouble-free operation of IT systems and their performance. We stopped the choice on the system capable to work with the growing information streams quickly, reliably and safely – IBM Storwize V7000, – Yalchin Tagizade, the Chief information officer of "International bank of Azerbaijan" noted. – The priority was given to the solution of IBM by such criteria as performance, fault tolerance and total cost of ownership".

Result

As a result of project implementation the bank could reduce time spent for holding daily bank procedures including closing of banking day, more than twice, to accelerate formation of all reports, to reduce time for request processing of employees of the bank and also processing speed of requests of clients.
