Xerox Archive

Xerox began since February, 2013 sale of the new software product "the Copier: Archive". The software package allows to automate basic processes of archive activity with documentation which is on the centralized (departmental) storage, including to carry out work with archive fund and explanatory notes to it in electronic form. The solution can be adapted for tasks of archive services of the enterprises and the organizations of the different industries, including with the distributed branch network.

The state and commercial organizations pay more and more attention to optimization of work with the information resources which are available for them which considerable part is concentrated in archives. The problem of quality improvement of the information service performed by archive services of the enterprises purchases special importance in the conditions of widespread introduction of electronic document management systems and fast increase in number of electronic documents.

Software package "Copier: The archive" is intended for storage and effective use of the electronic information resources created based on departmental archive fund of the organization.

Solutions are the cornerstone of technology of management of electronic resources of large volumes – Enterprise Content Management (ESM). Their use allowed to provide scalability of the solution and convenience of the organization of information processes to geographically distributed structures of customers.

At the same time in "the Copier: Archive" all requirements and standards of the Russian archive industry relating to formation of the electronic explanatory notes (EN) to archive fund are considered. It is about support of such processes as: · formation and approval of the nomenclature of affairs; · completing of archive; · conducting directory work; · preparation of affairs for transfer on the state storage; · selection of affairs to destruction.

Implementation and use of a software package "Copier: The archive" will help the enterprises and the organizations to achieve important improvements in functioning of archives: · reduce search time of necessary archive information; · increase safety of documents, · reduce the number of addressing originals of documents on paper carriers; · provide distributed access to the archive documentation.
