The Arkhangelsk enterprise of passenger traffic equips transport with monitoring equipment with participation of MTS

JSC Mobile TeleSystems announced on March 1, 2013 the project on ensuring monitoring of public transport of the "Arkhangelsk Enterprise of Passenger Traffic" enterprise with the technological solution M2M-Cyber GLX.

Project

More than 700 shuttle buses in the city and on suburban routes provide to MTS together with Arkhangelsk Enterprise of Passenger Traffic Municipal Unitary Enterprise monitoring. It makes about 90% of the total number of the passenger buses plying in Arkhangelsk. SIM cards of MTS are installed in a set, by each bus equipped with the special equipment which gives the chance to control a vehicle route. Data of monitoring accumulate on the internal server of Arkhangelsk Enterprise of Passenger Traffic Municipal Unitary Enterprise and are monthly provided in administration of Arkhangelsk.

"Today actively implements authorities and the Arkhangelsk business and uses the innovation M2M-solutions of MTS. For last year growth of M2M-devices in the region was over 30%. Monitoring of public transport using channels of mobile communication of MTS – one of the most demanded scopes of application. Similar projects are already implemented by MTS in many cities of Russia. In Arkhangelsk the project of monitoring of shuttle passenger buses using SIM cards of MTS is also successfully implemented, its expansion also is planned for regional routes", – the director of the branch of MTS in the Arkhangelsk region Andrey Prishchemikhin noted.
