NetIQ CloudAccess 1.1

In March, 2013 the NetIQ company announced an exit of the new product CloudAccess 1.1, the virtual application of single authentication which allows IT departments easier and quicker to manage a large number of cloud services and applications, and to do it is automated, is safe and controlled. Ensuring smooth operation of single authentication for users, protecting corporate data and helping to conform to requirements of business, CloudAccess 1.1 promotes activation of the additional functions expanding possibilities of your business which cloud infrastructure can provide; without complicating management of it, and without creating the additional security risks connected with the "improvised" access control system.

Rates of implementation of cloud services continue to grow. According to data of analytical service Gartner, it is supposed that by 2016 the volume of services of SaaS and services of cloud applicaions will grow to 233.2 billion US dollars. At the same time to the forefront there is a problem of security of cloud services and applications. Because of promptly increasing number of virtual servers, services and applications traditional approaches and solutions cease to meet requirements of business.

CloudAccess 1.1 is the autonomous virtual application which allows department of IT to implement the mechanism of single authentication of users for any applications of SaaS and other cloud solutions, raising thereby the overall level of security of IT infrastructure. In its structure there are multifunction connectors which automatically provide access to users to popular cloud applicaions, such as Google Apps, Salesforce and Office365; and even more than 200 connectors to cloud applicaions which can support the SAML protocols. CloudAccess 1.1 also includes tools of creation own the connector which allows employees of IT department or independent developers to expand functionality of a product and to integrate it practically with any cloud services.

Unlike other cloud products with single authentication, CloudAccess 1.1 turns on the advanced module of providing access which will automatically create accounts of employees and to manage them on supported applications. As users – the staff of the company - request the additional rights according to the executed role or leave, - CloudAccess 1.1 allows IT department to provide for them secure access to cloud applicaions, to interfere with violation of security policies and to guarantee compliance to requirements of the legislation and regulators.

2014: CloudAccess 2.0

On February 12, 2014 the NetIQ company announced an exit of upgraded version of the product CloudAccess 2.0


CloudAccess 2.0 implements the concept of single authentication (Single Sign-On) during the work with cloud applicaions and provides idle time and secure access to them from the mobile device. As soon as the user enters the PIN code, he gets access to local and "cloud" applications on devices running iOS or Android that allows to work directly "on the run", at any time, in any place.

CloudAccess 2.0:

  • Provides single authentication to cloud applicaions.
  • Guarantees an information access, processed in an external cloud only to authorized users.
  • Reduces risk of information leak about accounts of corporate users on the party of provider.
