Equipment

One of key innovations of Vijeo Citect 7.30 – Equipment (Equipment) - templates of the equipment (equipment templates) which simplify and standardize configuring of the equipment within all projects and systems. Advantage of templates is that the configuration of each type of the equipment needs to be configured only once. Once the created configuration of the equipment then can be reused without additional setup and it is easy to scale that reduces time for development of a specific system using Vijeo Citect, allows to standardize the projects created with its help and to increase coordination of their work.

Equipment hierarchy

Other functional party of an innovation of Equipment is a hierarchy of the equipment (Equipment hierarchy). This function allows to present process in the form of a hierarchical structure. It promotes transition from flat, the tag - the focused system to object-oriented. Use of hierarchy of the equipment during operation systems allows to browse, sort and filter lists of tags. And thanks to the new browser of variable tags, operators can perform search and display of lists of tags, based on their different properties, for example, to display the list of tags with the included mode of manual redefinition of value of the tag or with the included record prohibition mode in the tag.

Signaling

A number of key improvements in this release is connected with acceleration of interaction with the system of alarms (signals). As a result possible problems can be fixed quicker. Besides, there was an opportunity to display all events of alarms in the chronological sequence for more complete analysis.

The system of alarms is improved by functions of fast filtering and sorting, the functionality of SOE (sequence of events is the sequence of events), which allows not only to save all events of alarms in the chronological sequence became available, but also to fix actions of operators for elimination of problems, creating the centralized reserve system magazine.

Integration

The version of Vijeo Citect 7.30 shows further development in the direction of open interfaces which adherent is Schneider Electric. The program has a standard library including often used controls, such as tables, scroll bars and trees. It is easily integrated with Vijeo Historian for data acquisition with a time stamp directly from data source using OFS (OPC Factory Server) of Schneider Electric company.

2013: StruxureWare SCADA Expert Vijeo Citect v7.40

On August 30, 2013 the Schneider Electric company released a new software version of SCADA Expert Vijeo Citect 7.40.

In the new version there are a lot of new opportunities which, according to vendor, allow to create effectively simple in use, modern and functional SCADA of a system.

The new name of release and product - StruxureWare SCADA Expert Vijeo Citect v7.40. The new version will help industrial consumers to increase the value of their investments into SCADA, taking into account new modern opportunities and functions which increase efficiency, both engineers, and operators.

The developer company sees this release as a product which will allow customers to pass completely to object-oriented design them SCADA systems. Moreover, the current implementation of the object-oriented approach allows our existing users to make also easily this transition".

• Expansion of applicability of the object-oriented approach – SCADA Expert Vijeo Citect v7.40 continues to expand applicability of the object-oriented approach through expansion of support of the concept Equipment in other parts of a product. The Item-syntax in the diagram and scenarios is at the moment supported. It gives the chance to continue transition from flat, the tag - the focused systems to object-oriented where graphics, configuration components and scenarios can be connected with the specific equipment – an object that helps engineers to create more effective object libraries.

• The editor Oborudovaniya with a user-friendly interface – the Editor Oborudovaniya has the user-friendly graphical interface thanks to which engineers can effectively configure templates of the equipment and build hierarchical communications based on their copies. The editor allows is centralized to create, delete, change and update templates of the equipment and hierarchical communications between copies of templates of the equipment. It simplifies design process, reducing time for engineering, thereby increasing efficiency of engineers.

• Modern graphic templates – New graphic templates allow SCADA to applications to look modern and increase convenience their use. Templates were developed to guarantee that operators will work with the acquaintance it the user interface and to use its functionality which is familiar to them according to other applications with which operators worked or work. Templates are optimized under popular resolutions of wide screens now in use.
