2019: Upgrade of the platform of data storage
On February 7, 2019 the Jet Infosystems company reported that the Ural Bank for Reconstruction and Development (UBRIR) began process of digital upgrade. As the first step to performance improvement, reliability and cost optimization on the equipment the credit institution implemented in the IT infrastructure a modern solid-state flash array from Pure Storage. To optimize equipment costs, the bank went on the IaaS model with equal payments within 5 years.
Rapid growth of business has significant effect on IT: the volume of client data increases by 20-30% a year, and performance of systems systematically doubles. In such conditions the existing platform of storage could not provide effectively growing business needs. Therefore the bank made the decision to upgrade the platform.
The credit institution made serious performance requirements to the platform which required the reliable modern solution. Having estimated all options, experts of Jet Infosystems system integrator recommended to upgrade the platform of data storage using Pure Storage Flash Array in which modern All-Flash technologies and the NVMe protocol are used. Flash Array could provide 200,000 IOPS with the maximum response time no more than 2 ms Besides, availability of service is at the level of high-end (99.9999%) with a possibility of the organization of disaster tolerance in the active-active mode. Also the requirements of Bank of efficiency of algorithms of deduplication and compression were fulfilled.

The created infrastructure from Pure completely conformed to strict requirements UBRIR to performance. The array reached coefficient of deduplication and compression up to 12:1 (instead of expected 3.5:1). It gave considerable economic effect. Actually, it was succeeded to save on amount of data by 3 times. In the long term the bank is going to transfer to all-flash the platform the main part of critical IT infrastructure.

2013: Implementation of DWH of Hitachi Unified Storage
The Jet Infosystems company upgraded IT infrastructure of Ural Bank for Reconstruction and Development implementing solution of DWH Hitachi Unified Storage 150, the press service of integrator reported on March 5, 2013.
The resulting data
Ural Bank for Reconstruction and Development in partnership with Jet Infosystems company completed the first two stages of the project of upgrade of IT infrastructure of bank:
- the new high-performance platform on the basis of the solution of IBM is built, Hitachi Data Systems and Symantec
- migration of databases is made.
- arrays of Hitachi Data Systems – Hitachi Unified Storage 150 are installed.
- for increase in fault tolerance, performance improvement of requests of input-output and improvement of flexibility of management, on logical partitions of DWH more than 20 copies of software of Symantec Storage Foundation are set.
The SAN expansion is executed. Connection of the server hardware and arrays to network infrastructure (LAN and SAN) with updating of the system software is in parallel carried out.
