Active System Manager supports all environments compatible to Active System. Such environments can be previously integrated (for example, Active System 800), based on reference architecture or made to order using Active System Matrix. Basic functions of products are listed below. On the basis of templates and the automated setup requirements to infrastructure allow to encapsulate selection of resources easily, and then to apply these requirements predictably, being guided by requirements of workload.

Arrays of the Dell EqualLogic PS6110 series provide the virtualized storage area network (SAN) 10GbE on the basis of the SCSI (iSCSI) protocol which combines intelligent mechanisms and automation equipment with functions of ensuring fault tolerance that guarantees simplicity of administration, fast deployment, ample opportunities of scaling and performance and reliability of a corporate class. In arrays 10GbE PS6110 series the Data Center Bridging (DCB) protocol can be used to increase service quality of Ethernet and considerably to reduce losses of packets for the complete solution applying iSCSI over DCB technology (from server adapters to the end devices iSCSI).

The report on net surfing

  • Two Dell Force10 S4810 10GbE switches for installation over a rack in combination with two aggregators of input-output PowerEdge M in the M1000e body provide complex convergence for a local network and the storage area network with the iSCSI protocol (from a blade server to EqualLogic array).
  • S4810 is switch 10/40GbE for installation over a rack with a form factor 1U and the high density of installation which has 48 ports of standard 1/10GbE (SFP+) with support of two speeds and four modules of the channel of the ascending communication 40GbE (QSFP+) (only 64 ports 10GbE when using cables of terminal distributing).
  • The aggregator of input-output is a blade module of input-output which supports up to 16 ports of the ascending communication of standard 10GbE and thirty two internal ports 10GbE providing the high speed of traffic between the body that allows to exclude use of cables and to reduce number of the ports used to go to the devices installed over a rack. It is easily administered using the Plug and Play functions.

Convergent networks

Full compliance to requirements of IEEE DCB, support of convergence of traffic from a local network and from storage systems with the iSCSI interface in a single network.
