2013: Start of implementation of the Directum ECM system

The management company TAIF GROUP started implementation ECM- systems DIRECTUM, the press service of developer reported on March 15, 2013.

By the beginning

Till 2013 at head office JSC TAIF document flow is partially automated by product EDMS Case. However the address of the main volume of documents proceeded in paper form. The high costs connected with such work made relevant a problem of implementation of new complex EDMS.

The choice was made from popular ECM- the DIRECTUM systems SAP OpenText, Case Doсumentum BOSS-Referent DocsVision.

In an analysis result of functionality and scaling options IT department and company management stopped on the system of the electronic document and interaction management of DIRECTUM.

The pacing factors which predetermined the choice:

• DIRECTUM is under construction based on the ready platform with effective business solutions at the same time flexibility of the platform allows to configure easily EDMS under the purposes and tasks of the specific company.

• A system is integrated with ERP systems, accounting programs, messengers and other software at the expense of a set of integration tools DIRECTUM Integration Toolset.

• Thanks to a possibility of the organization of geographically distributed work, users of the different companies and divisions will be able to interact among themselves and to work with the general documents and tasks.

Expectations

Implementation should solve problems of automation of organizational and administrative document flow (outgoing/incoming letters, orders, statements, memos); contracted work; to creation of archive of electronic documents. At a stage of the choice of the software product possibilities of development of the project regarding personnel and project document flow, integration with the accounting systems also made a reservation.
