MSU - Moscow State University (Elarobot)

ELAR corporation delivered a complex of automatic scanning Elarobot in Lomonosov Moscow State University. The complex is intended for conversion of images to a digital format for old printing and rare books for needs of department of history.

Automatic book scanner Elarobot is developed by R-2 for careful digitization of big and small book meetings in the automatic mode. The innovation system of scanning is based on the scanning prism with the system of a vacuum raising and a revolution of pages and a unique book cradle with independent setup of an angle of disclosure.

Elarobot allows to digitize up to 3 thousand book pages per hour with autoprocessing of the received image with the minimum participation of the person. Scanning can be made in three modes of chromaticity: color, gray gradations and black-and-white with the permission in the range from 300 to 600 dpi.

In the future the created information resources will be a part of a digital library of department of history and will be available to students of higher education institution.

ELAR corporation cooperates with Lomonosov Moscow State University since 2004. Earlier projects on digitization of 3 million library cards and creation image of the directory of Scientific library MSU were implemented.
