The logistic operator "Warehouse Service" quickly implements WMS and is going to continue development of a system

The logistic operator Sklad service implemented the project on automation of a warehouse complex using the solution Columbus WMS on the Microsoft Dynamics AX platform, the press service of developer reported on March 20, 2013.

Background

The self-written solution which was used so far by Warehouse Service company did not provide sufficient transparency and accuracy of accounting of warehouse processes. As a result the logistic operator recognized need of transition to a full-fledged specialized management system for a warehouse complex and for this purpose chose the solution of the international consulting company Columbus.

Result

Columbus WMS is brought into operation exactly in 1.5 months after the beginning of the project.

For example, during implementation one of customers of the operator had a need for processing of goods by the principle of cross docking with simultaneous sorting of the entering loads according to the directions of shipment, passing operations on storage.
