The institute the St. Petersburg ATOMENERGOPROEKT with the assistance of AXELOT company carried out accounting system implementation on the basis of tags of RFID and its integration with the operating corporate system of management, the press service of the company reported on March 25, 2013.
Background
On balance of institute about 35 thousand objects of property, inventory items. All of them are subject to accounting and periodically pass through the procedure of inventory. Transactions with property objects which number is measured by tens of thousands can take a lot of time and be made with the errors caused by fatigue or carelessness of contractors. However modern approaches to job management and new software products allow to upgrade accomplishment of auxiliary transactions primary activity by the enterprise or organization was conducted with the maximum return. The need for optimization of accounting of OS and Inventories led the management of JSC SPBAEP to a thought of need of implementation of the automated software solution created based on RFID technologies.
Within the project of automation main objectives were pursued: optimization of carrying out inventories and ensuring convenient and operational work with the database of objects of property.
Solution
Specialists of AXELOT company developed the software solution allowing to display detailed information on the marked object and to make over it transactions according to the operating inventory business process. By means of AXELOT WEB SERVICE interaction between this solution and a corporate information system of JSC SPBAEP is set. For connection of RFID terminals of Motorola the specialized mobile client developed in AXELOT was used. Each object of property of JSC SPBAEP is supplied with the RFID tag containing all necessary information on an object now. Using a data collection terminal simultaneous reading of several tags is made at once that allows to reduce considerably time of carrying out inventories and practically to get rid of the errors arising earlier.
Result
As a result of integration information on the marked objects collected using the specialized software solution automatically is synchronized with data on the marked objects in the existing system of accounting of 1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management 8 of version 1.3. Such approach allows to simplify conducting managerial accounting of OS and Inventories.
Project participants noted:
- Reduction of time of carrying out inventory of OS from two months to one week
- Possibility of holding regular sessions of inventory by forces of accountant officers without employee involvement of other divisions
- Decrease in probability of emergence of wrong data in a system of accounting of OS
- Exception of the objects duplicating each other in an accounting system
- Maintaining unified register of objects of property
- Possibility of operational obtaining analytical reporting.
— Use of modern technologies of radio frequency identification for fixed asset accounting of JSC SPBAEP helped to achieve notable results. If earlier process of inventory was strongly dragged out on time and did not exclude errors, then after project completion we received the convenient tool allowing to reduce time of carrying out inventory, to minimize errors.
