On April 3, 2013 the Oracle corporation announced release of Oracle Event Processing for Oracle Java Embedded, more compact, in terms of the occupied disk space, the version of Oracle Event Processing intended for deployment in internetwork devices.
The product Oracle Event Processing for Oracle Java Embedded is developed and optimized for the satisfaction of unique requirements of network gateways to processing of large volumes of the data arriving from the different operational systems, such as systems of industrial and construction supervision, intelligent power networks, house automatic systems and electronic health care systems. Support of devices of network access, such as wireless modules is necessary for all these systems for interfaces of "the intercomputer interaction" (Machine to Machine, M2M) and sensors of state of environment.
"Against the background of increase in number of the devices connected to Internet of Things we also see a bigger variety of sources of information as a result of the explosive growth of amounts of data which the organizations need to manage effectively, – Hasan Rizvi, the executive vice president for the Oracle Fusion Middleware and Java direction emphasized. – Our new product extends basic functionality for work with fast data (Fast Data) to devices of network access, accelerating processing of large volumes of data and giving to consumers the chance to react quickly to the arising business needs".
The product Oracle Event Processing for Oracle Java Embedded is completely integrated and certified for the Oracle Java Embedded Suite software package, and is a key component of the Oracle platform – "from the device to a data processing center" which simplifies and accelerates implementation and deployment of the solutions and services based on the principle of the intercomputer interaction (Machine-to-Machine).
Oracle Event Processing for Oracle Java Embedded provides reliable functioning of Oracle Event Processing technology on devices of network access, allows to make crucial decisions with the minimum waiting time, gives an opportunity of remote work for effective functioning of network sources and also supports dynamic online updatings of applications for acceleration of an output of new products and services on the market.
The solution Oracle Event Processing which uses Oracle Coherence technology for grid-calculations in RAM and is closely integrated with Hadoop and NoSQL, is an important element of a product line of Oracle for fast data (Fast Data). Using it the companies will be able to obtain valuable information on data in real time before they are placed in corporate storages of Big Data.
Oracle Event Processing for Oracle Java Embedded will help the companies to cope with huge arrays of information and to manage growth of the amounts of data arriving from devices of network access thanks to transfer of data processing is closer to a source.
With adding of a new product in the Oracle Java Embedded family the Oracle Event Processing technology provides flexible options, including multilevel deployment of Oracle Event Processing mechanisms at each stage of service and lifecycle of events – from the device to a data processing center.
