The IPTVPORTAL platform entered the market in 2011. The solution was developed by A.R.E.S. laboratory and became the first-ever solution which provides to telecom operators of the Middleware and CAS/DRM system as a cloud service.
The IPTV PORTAL is, speaking slangy language, "low-cost airline"' (from engl. low cost - low cost).
Due to use of cloud computing the IPTV PORTAL offers telecom operators the products: Middleware, the CAS/DRM for IPTV/OTT, at very low prices, comparable to the prices of maintenance. Initial investments on acquisition of Middleware, CAS/DRM are not necessary that considerably reduces the financial investments in IPTV/OTT construction. In addition to reduction of initial investments, the IPTV PORTAL reduces costs connected with start of a system (terms of start of a system are in certain cases reduced to one day) and software updates. There is an economy and on technical service since it is, a part of a cloud service and the IPTV PORTAL lies on shoulders of employees. The cloud also resolves such issues as reservation and power supply.
The PORTAL platform IPTV is based on three mutual and duplicative nodes in Moscow, St. Petersburg (Russia) and in Nuremberg (Germany).
