Vnesheconombank creates a management system for mobile devices of employees

Increase in controllability and providing required level of security of mobile devices in an information system of Vnesheconombank demanded the decision on creation of a management system for mobile devices. It is necessary to implement an assigned task the solution Symantec Mobile Management with participation INLINE GROUP company, the press service of the company reported on April 8, 2013.

Therefore it is important to us to provide for business the simple, clear and at the same time effective management tool with mobile devices and also that is not less important, to provide the high level of their security".

Solution

Within the project the company contractor executed a system design during which requirements of the customer regarding mobile device management and also security requirements are considered. The company carried out bench modeling which helped to reduce risks of implementation and to define optimal system architecture, to fulfill standard procedures of centralized operation taking into account specifics of IT services and IT infrastructure of bank.

"Security is especially important for financial institution, but it does not mean that it is necessary to sacrifice convenience of users and to limit mobility of employees. Result

System implementation of mobile device management helped the customer to provide the necessary security level determined by corporate politicians, to automate standard tasks of mobile device management - initial deployment, the centralized distribution and updating of banking software, configuration management, including: network access control of Wi-fi, to information resources and IT services of internal network of bank through VPN connection, access to a corporate mailbox. In case of loss or theft of the mobile device the bank had an opportunity to prevent unauthorized access to information stored on the mobile device.
