Zimin Victor Mikhaylovich is the former head of the Republic of Khakassia - the Chairman of the Government of Khakassia. Head of the Khakass regional department of the United Russia Party.

Biography

Was born on August 23, 1962 on a farm of Dissos of Krasnoturansky district of Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia.

Education

1982 - graduated from the Abakan agricultural technical school, department of industrial civil engineering.

2007 - graduated from the Tomsk state architectural and construction university majoring in "Cars and automobile economy".

Military Service

Underwent military military service in ranks of tank troops of the Soviet Army, it was demobilized in a rank of the staff sergeant.

Career

Since 1985 - the chief engineer, the chief of the Irkutsk construction management.

Since 1992 - the deputy chief of the Abakan department of the Krasnoyarsk railroad - the chief of directorate of objects under construction.

Under the leadership of Victor Zimin in Khakassia several tens of large objects among which there are 3 largest tunnels on Abakan-Tayshetskaya Route were constructed. On the account of division of Victor Zimin also construction of schools, drugstores, apartment houses.

2003 - 2007 - the deputy of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Khakassia.

On December 2, 2007 - it is elected the deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the member of United Russia fraction, the member of the committee on agrarian questions.

2007 - 2009 - the deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation from a batch United Russia.

Since May, 2008 - the secretary of Political council of HRO of the Batch United Russia.

December 8, 2008 - The president Russia Dmitry Medvedev submitted for consideration of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Khakassia Victor Zimin's candidacy for investment with its powers of the Chairman of the Government of Khakassia.

On December 10, 2008 - deputies of the Supreme Council of Khakassia approved Victor Zimin as the new governor of the region (66 deputies from 69 attendees voted for, 3 - against).

On January 15, 2009 - started implementation of powers of the Chairman of the Government of Khakassia.

Interesting Facts

Since 1993 Victor Zimin provided in HR departments the nonexistent diploma about the higher education. The same document was submitted to the Russian President Administration. As it appears from the copy of the diploma, Victor Zimin in 1989, allegedly, entered the Tomsk construction institute and gained the diploma there: I am No. 270791, registration No. 141T. The rector Mikhail Slobodsky reported in response to a request of the press that the specified diploma "Was not issued to Zimin Victor Mikhaylovich"^[9].
