Biography

The Cheboksary district, Chuvash was born on January 8, 1962 in Small Torkhana the ASSR, RSFSR, the USSR. - the Chuvash.

Education

1981 - graduated from the Cheboksary power technical school majoring in "The electric networks and systems".

1990 - graduated from the Chuvash agricultural institute majoring in Agronomics.

1997 - graduated from the Cheboksary branch of the Moscow university of consumer cooperation majoring in Law.

1999 - graduated from the Volga-Vyatka academy of public service in the "Public and Municipal Administration" direction (Nizhny Novgorod).

Career

1981-1994

1981 - the electrician on repair of electric equipment 4 discharges in software Khimprom (Novocheboksarsk).

1983 - worked in collective farm Progress (The Cheboksary district, Chuvashia) as the foreman of field crew, the chief of the Yanyshsky production site.

February, 1987 - was elected by the chairman of the board of collective farm Progress.

November, 1992 - headed Progress Ltd.

1990 - 1994 - the deputy of the Cheboksary regional council of People's Deputies.

1996-2004

1996 - it is appointed the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and food of the Chuvash Republic.

1999 - it was elected the head of self-government of the Cheboksary district.

January, 2002 - May, 2004 - the first the vice-chairman of the Cabinet of the Chuvash Republic - the Minister of Agriculture of the Chuvash Republic.

2003 - stood in deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation according to the federal candidate list in deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation of the fourth convocation which is put forward by political party "Agrarian Party of Russia". Headed the Chuvash regional list of a batch. In the list of deputies of the State Duma did not pass.

2010

On July 21, 2010 - will put forward the President Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev on a post of the President of the Chuvash Republic^[2].

On July 28, 2010 - on representation of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev by the State Council of the Chuvash Republic it is given authority to the President of the Chuvash Republic.

On August 29, 2010 - entered a position of the President of the Chuvash Republic^[3].

2011-2012

On February 13, 2011 - the command of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Chuvashia took part in the XXIX stage of the All-Russian mass ski race "the Ski track of Russia - 2011". Participants were welcomed by the President of Chuvashia Mikhail Vasilyevich Ignatyev^[4].

On May 31, 2012 - made a speech at opening of an exhibition of works of masters of the Chuvash fine arts. The ceremony took place in the Bashkir state art museum of M.V. Nesterov within Culture Days of the Chuvash Republic in Bashkortostan^[5].

October, 2012 - in the Cheboksary gymnasium No. 5 participated in the soccer tournament devoted to the Teachers' Day^[6].

2019

In July, 2019 the head of Chuvashia Mikhail Ignatyev was hospitalized in Mariinsky hospital of St. Petersburg with suspicion of a heart attack. Doctors estimate its condition as heavy.

2020: Death after infection with COVID-19 coronavirus

On June 18, 2020 it became known of Mikhail Ignatyev's death. He died on the 59th year of life.

That the former head of Chuvashia died,  Oleg Nikolaev reported RIA Novosti of the acting the head of the region.

According to the source Interfax, Ignatyev was infected with COVID-19 coronavirus, he died in hospital.

The deputy of the State Council of Chuvashia Konstantin Stepanov confirmed in a conversation with  REN-TV that Ignatyev underwent treatment in one of the St. Petersburg clinics because of heart troubles.

According to the Kommersant newspaper, Ignatyev   was hospitalized in St. Petersburg at the beginning of May, 2020. At it revealed bilateral pneumonia, it was on the device of extracorporal membrane oxygenation (EKMO).

Shortly before death he felled into a coma. As specialists believe, the politician could die from the complications caused by a heart trouble Izvestia writes.

In January, 2020 there were two resonant incidents to Ignatyev's participation. At first he had to apologize for a phrase that it is necessary  "to wet journalists and bloggers who come from different regions of the Russian Federation, well here settle and begin to write, I do not know about what and about whom". And at the end of January in media there was a video of how Ignatyev forced the officer of the Ministry of Emergency Situations  to jump up behind keys  from the new fire fighting equipment. After that Ignatyev was expelled from United Russia and is dismissed by the decree of the president from a position of the head of Chuvashia".

On the website of the Supreme Court on May 26, 2020 there was information that Ignatyev through court tried to dispute the dismissal. The statement of claim of Ignatyev in that part in which the former head of the region disputed the decree of the president on early termination of its powers was accepted the Supreme Court to production. Its consideration is appointed to June 30, 2020.^[7]
