The Ural Carriage-Building Plant implements ASED on the IBM Notes platform

The Business Logic 2.0 company and Ural Carriage-Building Plant scientific and production corporation created at the enterprise a single system of electronic document management on the IBM Lotus Notes/Domino platform, the press service of integrator reported on April 10, 2013.

Approach

Organizational and administrative and internal document flow of corporation occupies one of important places in operational activity of the enterprise. Due to the need of increases in efficiency, workflow automation became a priority task.

Within the project it was required to minimize costs for document handling, to provide accomplishment of standards of corporation on work with documents, it is essential to reduce paper document flow and the related overheads and also to provide a possibility of the fast and approved decision making with assistance of corporate electronic document management.

Solution

The implementation project of the automated electronic document management system (AEDMS) is expected several months. For successful project implementation the joint implementation team is created, and for the contractor the uniform point of entry at the customer is organized.

The implementation command optimized business processes of documentary ensuring enterprise management, developed regulations and instructions. Specialists of Business Logic 2.0 company created the standard solution for the enterprises of corporation on the IBM Lotus Notes/Domino platform which became the EDMS corporate standard for all Ural Carriage-Building Plant.

At first transferred the central office of corporation in Nizhny Tagil to new EDMS and the Center of corporate management in Moscow: more than 1500 jobs are in total automated. Then started process of replication and scaling by connection to a single system of document flow of the remote enterprises of corporation.

• reliable storage, quick search of information, differentiation of access rights to it and data protection

Performance indicators on project deliverables: the total costs connected with processing of paper documents are reduced by 40%, search time of information decreased by 90%, the speed of response to incoming request increased up to 75%.
