The supercomputer of the Pacific State University is installed in the Khabarovsk DPC of MegaFon

In the Khabarovsk Data Processing Center (DPC) of MegaFon company the module of the supercomputer of Pacific National University (TOGU) is brought in April, 2013 into commercial operation. After start of this powerful computer system performance of all supercomputer system of TOGU was 15 TFLOPS, i.e. 15 trillion operations per second.

The supercomputer system of TOGU is a cluster for high-performance computing. It is the fundamental device for work of the Center of Space Technologies (CST) of the university. After start of MegaFon of the new module of the supercomputer set in the Khabarovsk DPC its performance reached 15 TFLOPS, i.e. 15 trillion operations per second.

"It is rather powerful calculator who is used for the most difficult scientific calculations, first of all in the field of development of high space technologies, - the director of Research institute of computer technologies and telecommunications of TOGU Sergey Burkov says. – Thanks to it the university actively participates in a number of scientific programs including international, requiring creation and calculation of the most difficult mathematical models. Important and the fact that supercomputers contribute not only to the development of the latest technologies, but also the innovation thinking in society. Such computer centers and grid-systems integrating them become the centers of an enormous attraction and concentration of highly qualified scientific and engineering personnel, first of all, in the field of information technologies".

For placement of the TOGU supercomputer used services of the Data processing center of MegaFon company which is located in Khabarovsk and has the highest level of reliability corresponding to Tier III in the international classification.
