Orange Business Services: EAM

Orange Business Services brought to the market the Enterprise Application Management (EAM) managed service based on the equipment Riverbed, the recognized leader in the market of devices of WAN optimization. Service allows to improve performance of network applications and to optimize WAN traffic due to use of modern technologies of caching, a compression and acceleration. The service of EAM promotes effective centralization of IT resources of the company.

The service of EAM from Orange includes delivery and installation of the equipment Riverbed, solution management and the monthly report on performance of applications to WAN. The used equipment Riverbed Steelhead allows to accelerate a response of applications at least twice, and some – in tens of times. Use of IP VPN becomes up to 80% more effective, the comfort, quality and efficiency increases during the work with network applications.

Implementation of service of Enterprise Application Management in the "as a Service" model means supply of equipment of Riverbed without capital costs and lack of need for additional skilled staff due to Orange support. Use of EAM from Orange will allow customers to achieve reduction of total cost of ownership network infrastructure to 20%.

In 2012 the company began the internal project on dismantling of local servers in large regional offices. For prevention of reduction in the rate of operation of applications in the most remote cities the service of EAM from Orange which is initially offered the company on test conditions was used. Afterwards testing was transformed to commercial operation which allowed to lower load of the channel to 70% and to increase bandwidth more than by 3.6 times. Speed of start of the heaviest applications from the central server in Moscow changed from several minutes to several seconds.
