Korsini's group upgrades logistics management

The Korsini group together with consulting company Columbus started project implementation on development of a management system for a warehouse complex, having plans to expand functionality acting with WMS instruments of accounting and billing of services of safe custody, the developer company reported on April 26, 2013.

Base of the solution

In 2011 the company completed the works in the project on automation of the central distribution warehouse, using the specialized solution of Columbus WMS on the Microsoft Dynamics AX platform.

Korsini Group is going to provide a part of the available warehouse spaces, from the total ^{area of 25 thousand sq.m}, to distributors of small appliances under services of safe custody. In this regard the company management made the decision on development of functionality of the operating WMS. As the partner of the project the Columbus command will act again.

"One of features of the solution Columbus WMS based on Microsoft Dynamics AX consists that a system can easily and quickly be modified under new requirements of work of a warehouse without damage to the current business processes. In a case with Korsini Group process of updating and setup of a system will take about a month, - Vladimir Puchenkov, the director of practice of Warehouse Management, Columbus company noted.

Expectations

Development of the existing solution WMS will allow the distributor to support the tasks concerning automatic accounting and tariffing of different warehousing services and also drawing up the operational reporting according to the results of the rendered works. Having configured the operating WMS of Korsini Group optimizes key business processes of a warehouse, will support acceptance procedures, processings and storages of loads of safe custody, performing them in accurate compliance with conditions of agreements and product characteristics.
