The Russian developer BI- systems BaseGroup Labs developed the unique scoring solution based on the analytical platform Deductor for the Belarusian operator of MTS allowing to reduce financial risks in work with subscribers – emergence of receivables on payment of services and payment by installments for the equipment.

On implementation of an automated system of scoring more than one and a half years left.
Stage 1. Data preparation
At the first stage specialists of BaseGroup Labs booked audit and collecting of necessary data: customer behavior stories (calls, payments, Internet traffic, services, etc.), billing data and information on payment by installments parameters on the equipment.
For operational modeling and reduction of load of the working systems the Deductor Warehouse storage was designed. All data participating at scoring creation using ETL Deductor mechanisms were daily loaded into analytical storage, providing the centralized support of a system.
Stage 2. Design of scoring models
At a development stage of scoring models attention was paid also to such preparatory work as categorizations of clients for each type of services. The basis of the solution was formed by the preconfigured Deductor Credit Scorecard Modeler configuration.
As a result effective scoring models were developed for different types of services, and the new and acting clients were estimated differently. At the exit an analytical system created the decision on affirmative or negative answer on the request of the subscriber.
Besides, the developed system optimum considered the strategy of decision making according to reckless politicians of the company. The mechanism allowing to change the solution on sale of the equipment by installments taking into account the value of a cash flow of the company was so implemented (the amounts of initial contribution, a loan term, a margin of the equipment, taxes, etc.). A system implements logic of approval of payment by installments, including, and with change of conditions on more profitable in terms of profitability, or prohibition on issue to the new subscriber of expensive equipment by installments.
Other module of scoring calculates what equipment is available to the subscriber by installments. The provided alternatives can be with different parameters of payment by installments – other initial contribution or monthly payments.
Stage 3. Development of the automated workplace
At a development stage of the automated workplace for the staff of sales offices the web interface providing with all necessary functionality for decision making on provision of services was created: search of the subscriber in base, data entry, check on correctness of filling of fields, printing of forms, sending a request to a scoring system, issue of the answer. Thus, the staff of MTS sales department had an opportunity of the high-speed analysis of requests in the online mode thanks to fast integration of Deductor Integration Server.
Stage 4. Training of analysts
During the fourth stage for analysts of MTS training in work with a system and technicians of modeling was organized. Employees completed remote courses based on Deductor and received the status of the certified users, and key users of the program learned to develop scoring cards on internal trainings.
Stage 5. Start of a system
The last test stage and commissioning of a system took less than three months. For September, 2014 all sales offices were switched to the new system of scoring.
Project Results
The reliable tool for risk management became result of implementation. During the project complete lifecycle of the scoring card was developed: from data entry forms to decision making system. The staff of sales offices of MTS Belorus and dealers of the operator can give as fast as possible the competent answer according to the request of the subscriber now.
