The city administration Togliatti watches the woods using Megafon

MegaFon optimized operation of surveillance cameras behind the woods of the Tolyatti and Zhigulyovsk forest areas, the press service of operator reported on May 17, 2013.

Job

By the beginning of summer of 2013 the staff of MegaFon company jointly with specialists of department of Civil Defence and Emergencies carried out works on upgrade on a video surveillance system behind the woods. In particular, defined video patrol routes in the automatic mode, having included in the overview of cameras "summer" zones of the increased fire danger.

Retrospective

The project on preserving of the woods using video surveillance from the base stations (BS) of MegaFon by request of the Center of Civil Protection of city administration Togliatti works since 2010. The image from 13 video cameras placed on BS of the operator on data transmission channel in 12 Mbps is broadcast in the center of the uniform service on duty and dispatching (USDD) of the city. Here the round-the-clock observation of security of the woods, control of annealing of a felling remaining balance is conducted.

Viewing field

Technical characteristics of a video surveillance system allow the simultaneous overview of each section of the wood, at least, from two cameras. For May 17, 2013 video surveillance in point of municipal EDDS is performed on five monitors with several images on everyone. All cameras have a function of a turn by 360 degrees, a viewing angle of cameras – 120 degrees with function of 10-fold optical image magnification with preserving of clearness.
