Developers: MicroMax Computer Intelligence

The project of upgrade of a system of automatic lock-out and railway signaling implemented by JSC NIIAS together with MicroMax in which one of the major components is the protected computing system with the increased information processing validity of M-Max 400 ST/USO is going to pass since May, 2013 to the next stage. The period of test operation approaches end, a system shows successful results and completely meets expectations in efficiency of the put solutions.

M-Max 400 ST/USO is a part of a hardware and software system of data transmission on a radio channel about a status of traffic lights on stages on the locomotive way. Use of this independent complex allows the driver to obtain state-of-health data of bigger quantity of block sections on a stage and the station in addition to the regular system of the automatic locomotive signaling (ALS) and in advance to make decisions on the rate of movement of the train. Higher average speed of the movement and the smaller number of braking and accelerations of structure are so reached, the electric power on draft of trains is saved.

The president of Micromax, Samuel Abarbanel already noted earlier that he very much highly appreciates a contribution of the company to the project of improvement of the ALS system allowing to increase capacity of railway traffic by 10% without significant changes in the rolling stock and essential investments in infrastructure.

A system with the increased information processing validity of M-Max 400 ST/USO — the compact protected computing system for onboard and stationary applications constructed to meet the requirements of CENELEC SIL4. Two identical subsystems with own processor modules and uninterruptible power supply units of an objedeninena in one body through an internal interface. Subsystems cyclically are synchronized, exchange data and execute the sequence of cross validations. Internal uninterruptible power supply units provide a reserve up to 70 seconds of system operation at loss of external power supply. All this complex of hardware and software solutions allows to transfer authentically on a radio channel data and to increase efficiency of rail transportation. The program of implementation of the developed solutions should become the next stage on the way of upgrade of the ALS systems.
