The pro-credit the Bank raises a reserve of operational reliability of IT structure

The joint project team of De Novo and Procredit of Bank implemented the project aimed at providing continuity of business processes, the press service of integrator reported on June 4, 2013.

Reference point

By the beginning of the project the bank used one data processing center and the infrastructure built on the basis of traditional approaches and technologies. The strategy of achievement of continuity of IT from De Novo provided transformation of the existing IT infrastructure to model of a private cloud using the innovative technologies of stabilization to local accidents, accidents and destruction of data. Application of cloud computing allowed by the unified method to provide protection of the existing and perspective IT services against these threats.

Solution

The information system of bank was placed in two synchronous data-centers deleted from each other more than on 10 kilometers. In the normal mode each of them bears a part of workload, providing high efficiency of use of technical assets. In case of nonserviceability of one of DPCs, the second undertakes its functions. Process of movement of applied landscapes between the data-centers is completely automated and is initiated by the operator by clicking of only one button that minimizes negative influence of a human factor in a stressful situation.

Important function is the possibility of periodic test activation of a reserve without any influence on a productive applied landscape. In the course of test activation the protocol of testing which is the objective proof of existence and operability of instruments of protection against accidents and accidents is automatically generated. The relevance of scenarios of activation is maintained automatically due to close integration with the operating system of a cloud – a technology stack of virtualization and automation.

Result

The required functionality will be reached use of own project product De Novo "Red Button" based on technologies of VMware.

Creation of cloud infrastructure and migration in it an applied landscape demanded about a year. Half a year more was required on implementation of "The red button" and a backup system.
