Management of SinoOil (the Kazakhstan oil and gas company) is automated on the basis of SAP ERP

The SINOOIL company, specialization in the field of deliveries and sales of the fuels and lubricants (FL) in Kazakhstan, with assistance of Petrokazakhstan company entrusted SAP ERP system implementation to the Richfit International and SAP CIS command. About 12 months left on transfer of a system to a stage of trial operation (despite the huge volume of the organizational project works which covered head office, 9 branches and 110 refueling stations), and all project was complete in 18 months. During this project the ERP command from Richfit International was supported by the SAP Consulting command.

The shortage of reliable and timely information and use of a set of systems therefore a large number of transactions was executed manually, led to deceleration in decision making process and reduced performance. For this reason the company management addressed for support to Petrokazakhstan and invited joint team of experts from SAP Consulting and Richfit International with experience in the field of implementation of projects in the territory of Kazakhstan and considerable knowledge in this industry.

Consolidation of the information flows arriving from the different systems, optimization of retail sales on refueling stations of SINOOIL across all Kazakhstan and stimulation of transition to the new level of management on the basis of up-to-date and operational information was the purpose of SAP implementation of ERP. The project team faced a difficult task of integration of the different systems used on refueling stations of the company, and automation of a large number of manual transactions in the shortest possible time.

In addition to implementation of modules in the field of purchases, finance, control, sales and the SAP solution ERP on project management, during the project the industry solution of SAP for the oil and gas industry for the purpose of accomplishment of a number of tasks, very important for the oil and gas company, among which there was a recalculation of oil products on the volume and weight, accounting of the movement and transportation of oil products by tanker trucks, etc. was implemented.
