The headquarters of the company is located in the city of Prasadena of the State of California (USA).
History
The company was founded on June 12, 1944 by the engineer of Ralph M. Parsons. 100% of the capital belong to the former and current employees which are united in a trust - Employee Stock Ownership Trust.
In 1977 Parsons absorbed the company De Leuw, Cather & Company specializing in design of the transport systems.
In 1985 Parsons Corporation absorbed Chas company. T. Main. The last, became widely known, thanks to the book by John Perkins "A confession of the economic murderer" (2004). In the book dirty projects of Main during which it gave excessively inflated forecasts of development of Third World countries in case of implementation of infrastructure projects by them are described. Money for these projects lent the American financial institutions then the American corporations were engaged in construction of facilities.
In January, 1992 the company announced change of the name with Parsons Main.
In 2002 Parsons selected the energy division (Parsons E&C) and Poje in separate company sold it to the Australian company Worleyparsons Group.
