ANO Sportivnoye veshchaniye uses MegaFon for broadcast of sports events in the HDTV format

Broadcast of the World student's games on programs of the Russian television and on the Internet will be performed using communication channels of MegaFon company by request of the main broadcaster of Games - ANO Sportivnoye veshchaniye and VGTRK, the press service of operator reported on July 8, 2013.

MegaFon provided a resource which will allow to transmit seven TV signals in a format of the high definition (HDTV) for needs of VGTRK. Broadcast of competitions will go on Russia 2, Sport, Sport 1 and Fight club channels. The opening ceremony and closings are shown in full by Russia 1 TV channel.

Internet traffic of online broadcastings will receive the highest priority. This measure will allow the operator to transfer video in high quality, with the minimum delays regardless of load of network.

"The Russian TV companies never before broadcast student's games in such volume. It is planned that on four channels of VGTRK the Universiade will take more than 80% of all broadcasting time. Only the trusted network can provide such volume of broadcastings. To provide necessary capacity, we upgraded trunk channels of the Kazan-Moscow direction. Besides, each of communication channels has at least double reservation", - Sergey Obydennikov, the Universiade of 2013 project manager of OJSC MegaFon noted.
