In Engineering Center of Power Industry of Bashkortostan LLC implementation of the automated control system for design data and document flow of Pilot:PGS came to the end, the ASCON-Ufa company reported on July 10, 2013.

The engineering center as the enterprise needed optimization and automation of a large number of business processes:
- preparation and approval of the tender documentation;
- preparation, approval and signing of the contracts;
- developments and approvals of the design estimates;
- analysis of a financial component of projects;
- the analysis of labor costs within the specific project;
- accounting of load of employees;
- forecasting of amount of works on divisions.
Framework
Within implementation of Pilot:PGS specialists ASCON-Ufa implemented in INTsEB LLC functionality of planning and accounting of actual costs, job controls, electronic approval, data storage, electronic document management, creation of the user reports and instant messaging.
Vitaly Piskunov, the chief engineer of INTsEB, emphasized: "Already at a stage of trial operation employees began to note profitable advantages of work in the Pilot:PGS system. In the course of discussion and project planning it was poorly believed that after system implementation we will be able to use all that functionality about which specialists ASCON-Ufa told. However positive changes in process of preparation of documents and in document flow did not keep themselves waiting: our employees estimated convenient and quick access to information, a possibility of quick search of documents and collective work on them, decrease in time for approval, efficiency of sending instructions to contractors and convenience of control of terms and executions of instructions at once. It is also important to note that to specialists ASCON-Ufa was succeeded to meet the budget and terms stipulated on a preliminary stage".
Result
Results of implementation of Pilot:PGS:
- reduction of terms of consideration of competitive offers,
- reduction of terms of consideration of agreements,
- reduction of time of collecting and preprocessing of an original informatin,
- reduction of time for information and analytical activity,
- reduction of time for work planning on design and accounting of load of employees.
There was a possibility of creation and processing of the centralized electronic archive of the approved documentation and standard practices, process of management of projects became more transparent.
All this laid the reliable foundation for further quality improvement of project management and simplification of process of control over work progress by contractors.
