The GE Intelligent Platforms company completed the works on design of the standard solution MES (Manufacturing Execution System is the automated control system for production) on the basis of the software of GE Proficy for the enterprises of Sibur company, the press service of the company reported on July 30, 2013.
Expectations of the project
The implementing solution MES on the platform of GE Proficy will increase production efficiency of the enterprises of Sibur company due to automation of production business systems and also systems of operational planning of resources.
Project Progress
During design work on formalization of customer requirements to future system is done, more than 600 scenarios of use of MES in different data domains are developed, functional requirements to a system and architecture of the MES solution on the basis of a software platform of Proficy of production GE Intelligent Platforms are created.
The solution MES is used by software of Proficy iFix, Proficy Plant Applications, Proficy Workflow/SOA, Proficy Historian, Proficy Advanced Analytics.
Project Results
Completion of design of the standard solution allowed Sibur company in 2013 to start implementation of a MES system at manufacturing enterprises (Sibur Khimprom, Tobolsk-Neftekhim, Tomskneftekhim). Within the corporate agreement signed for a period of 5 years, GE Intelligent Platforms started delivery of the localized software and rendering technical support services for the listed enterprises.
