FortiDirector

FortiDirector is general service of balancing of loading of traffic (Global Server Load Balancing - GSLB) for average and large structures, ASP (Application Service Providers) and SaaS providers which allows to distribute traffic between geographically spaced websites and works with FortiADC, FortiBalancer and Coyote Point Equalizer devices.

The developer company announced the beginning of sales of a product on August 26, 2013.

Advantages

The FortiDirector service is placed on the XDN CloudDirector platform and provides the new level of delivery of applications on solutions of FortiADC. The majority of the solutions GSLB are maintained on the ADC platform or require use of the additional device. Thanks to FortiDirector service function of global balancing can be serviced out of the customer's infrastructure, and through a global network of DNS which routes traffic quickly and reliably.

Integration with DNS FortiDirector allows to route traffic to any available IP address. It allows to be connected to the applications managed by any solution Fortinet ADC and also the solutions ADC of other producers. FortiDirector – one of the few services in the market which gives the chance to route traffic on separate servers without use of the solution ADC or the solution placed on the server.
