The NVision — Ukraine company created the project and cloud DPC for MTS Ukraine, the press service of the company reported on August 29, 2013.

Project Background

"Demand for computing powers at operators grows promptly: billing systems extend, new services are started, new control systems, etc. are introduced. Therefore the companies are obliged to think for several years ahead. Created "by NVision – Ukraine" data center allows step-by-step input of capacities and will allow MTS Ukraine to develop effectively. One of advantages of new DPC – organic integration with already existing systems of the operator", – Ekaterina Chalaya, the CEO "NVision – Ukraine" noted.
"In the company the private cloud then the percent of virtualization of our systems will reach 75% will be created. Using such virtual infrastructure it is possible to increase considerably service rate of clients and input of new services, to provide the strengthened protection of subscriber data (information is stored far off on the server and it is protected from transfer and copying). At last, the company will be able quickly to create new jobs with centralized operation", – Anatoly Klimashevsky, the CIO of MTS Ukraine emphasized.

Project Progress

The NVision — Ukraine company began development of the project documentation in 2011, started construction in December, 2012.

The DPC is created on the basis of the equipment of the leading world vendors – ADVA, Brocade, Cisco, F5, HP, Juniper.

Project Results

Net output of data center – 1.6 MW, the general – up to 3 MW. On the level of fault tolerance conforms to the TIA-942 TIER III standard. The DPC is connected to two independent power sources. In critical situation UPS blocks can maintain operability of the equipment within 15 minutes. At long interruptions in power supply the data center will work from the diesel generator set. The DPC is connected to points of exchange of traffic by two independent communication channels created based on DWDM technology, the general capacity of 256 Gbit/sec.
