Connected Driving is the complete solution in the field of automobile means of communication and navigation.

Nokia business division - HERE, announced on August 30, 2013 an exit of a service packet of Connected Driving. This solution helps car makers and selling companies of the automobile systems to establish connection between the car, the driver and a cloud service.

The automobile packet of Connected Driving from HERE will be shown on September 10, 2013, on the International motor show in Frankfurt, Germany.

Description

The packet of Connected Driving offers a full range of automobile products and services which are based on the high-quality and constantly renewed maps. The packet, adapts according to needs of the user and represents the flexible system helping car makers and selling companies of the automobile systems to differentiate experience of driving. The packet will help drivers to solve problems which they face every day: synchronize routes, other personal information and devices in the car, to find the parking space or the nearest gas station.

Structure of a product and functionality

The offer includes services HERE Auto, HERE Auto Cloud, HERE Auto Companion.

HERE improved HERE Traffic service. It is capable to process data quicker and with more fine precision.

• HERE Auto – the first service which is built in the car loading in the fullness of time the corresponding map fragment with installation and without installation of communication with data transmission channel. Drivers have an opportunity of use of step-by-step navigation in 95 countries of the world and also 2D and 3D the satellite map with the overview of the area at the level of streets. In the future car makers will be able easily to expand functionality of HERE Auto using tool kit of software development (SDK), creating applications for entertainments and other purposes, for example, in the field of music or social networks. HERE Auto is already integrated into the platform of the next generation Open Infortainment Platform of Continental company. HERE also cooperates with partners, such as Magneti Marelli and others, for HERE Auto output to the market in the coming months.

• HERE Auto Cloud opens for drivers continuous access to several dynamic services, such as operational informing on traffic congestion in real time, helping drivers to go round the loaded sections of a way closed for the movement highways or road jams which arise on route movements. Besides, drivers can receive recommendations of location of institutions of public catering, parking spaces, information on points of charging of the electric vehicle or gas stations with the bottom prices on fuel.

• HERE Auto Companion - mobile and the web application, provides communication of drivers with devices and systems when they are out of inside of the car and also a possibility of synchronization in the devices of the chosen points and routes that saves them from need of repeated input of a route after they took the wheel again. Car makers can use opportunities of the existing packet of HERE, such as pedestrian navigation, routes of public transport service and even the scheme of a design of buildings, for development of proprietary mobile applications. Drivers can use the application for the purpose of remote search of the car, involve possibilities of technology of augmented reality of LiveSight in the device and to check operating parameters of the machine, for example, the level of fuel or pressure in buses.

• HERE Traffic is significantly improved due to implementation of Halo, the new module of data processing. Every month we increase the volume of high-quality data, for example, the data obtained from road sensors and sensor systems. Thanks to operational and exact data processing, the module Halo provides in real time information on weather, traffic congestion, the roadwork and other factors important for drivers. Thanks to HERE Traffic service, drivers receive more exact calculations of time of a way that allows to plan more carefully routes of the movement and quickly to rebuild them during the movement.
