SolarCapture is the product allowing to manipulate network packets in real time. It represents the application for the analysis and selection of network packets from high-speed switch ports. On the selected packets of SolarCapture appoints the corresponding tags and writes them in "the file of capture" in the PCAP format or sends these packets for the further user analysis and processing.
SolarCapture receives packets directly from the network adapter on allocated channel and via the Kernel-Bypass interface delivers the selected packets directly in an address space of user applications, passing a network stack of operating system kernel. Advantage of this architecture is that the SolarCapture application intercepts packets with higher priority and appoints more exact time marks. Thanks to Kernel-Bypass technology, the SolarCapture application reaches the level of capture of packets above, than standard "interceptors and analyzers of network traffic" the TCPdump and WinPcap type.
The software of SolarCapture can process millions of packets per second even on dual-core processors (CPUs), thereby it provides effective use of the CPU, distributing flows of capture of packets on several main cores by use of Receive-Side Scaling (RSS) technology.
