"MEL" uses a hybrid CAD system

The Borlas consulting group completed software implementation of Solid Edge in design office JSC MEL, the press service of integrator reported on September 5, 2013.

Project basis, project result

• Modeling tools of parts and assemblies in Solid Edge give an opportunity to designers of the plant quickly to develop and modify three-dimensional models of the low-voltage and high-voltage equipment, model of complete elevators and the lift equipment;

• Advantages of synchronous technology allow not only to simplify design process of products, but also to reduce time of creation and transfer of products to serial production to 40%;

• Due to program control by the three-dimensional Solid Edge models their identification is automated and integration into other programs - electronic archive of documents, the ERP system and the program of development of technology processes is executed;

• The labor input of development of programs for machines with the CNC (numerical control) was significantly reduced.
